There are a very few Non-Profit organizations in Pakistan that have been able to make a difference when it comes to helping the youth of our society – iACT is one of them. The Institute for Advancing Careers and Talents (iACT) is a non-profit backed up by Habib University and the local government of Karachi.

This non-profit which initiated its operations back in 2008 particularly focuses on providing the youth with skill development so that they can value the opportunities that lie ahead and how they can capitalize on these to improve their personal and professional lives.

The non-profit organized their 6th INSPYRE Learning Expo 2017 on Sunday, April 16, 2017 which was open to all and that too without any fees associated – with the hope of exposing children to amazing career prospects that lie ahead of them. This expo was a full-day learning event which featured soft-skills training and informative sessions by professionals from various fields.

In a statement, Program director – Faheem Bukhari – Head Projects H.U.F said that:

“The purpose of this event is to facilitate youth on personal , career and technical skills; and to enlighten them for better lives.”

With 30+ renowned speakers and trainers, along with more than 2,000 participants, the event was a major success and would have definitely made an impact in the lives of all those people who took part in this. This year’s INSPYRE learning expo included:

  • Career Based Skill Development Trainings
  • Technology Workshops
  • Personal Development Sessions
  • Sports & Fitness Coaching

A talk with the management team behind INSPYRE learning expo also revealed that they have a series of other plans involved in the pipeline including Female Youth conferences, Youth Consumer Awareness Program and Residential camps.

It will be exciting to see how these activities impact the youth of this country in terms of their futures. We hope that there are more non-profits like iACT who stand their ground in making a difference.
